The Employee Relations Advisor plays a key role in this, supporting the team with BAU case management.
What you’ll be doing:
As an Employee Relations Advisor, you’ll play a key role in shaping a positive workplace culture and supporting managers across the organisation. Your day-to-day will include:
· Resolving ER queries via phone, email, and face-to-face, using your expertise in employment law to provide clear, practical advice.
· Acting as a trusted advisor, offering subject matter expertise on Employee Relations processes and Employment Policy.
· Coaching and guiding stakeholders, helping them implement effective, commercially focused solutions.
· Reviewing and assessing cases to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.
· Driving consistency, ensuring advice and decisions are applied fairly and in line with organisational standards.
· Managing Occupational Health referrals, advising on assessments, adjustments, and absence management strategies.
· Keeping accurate records, documenting cases promptly and maintaining up-to-date information for compliance and reporting.
What we’re looking for:
· A solid understanding of Employee Relations policies and UK employment law.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of your work.
· The capability to translate HR language and policies into clear, practical guidance for stakeholders outside HR.
· Experience managing workplace issues—whether as an ER Advisor, Line Manager, or in a similar role.
