As an Operational Auditor covering the Central and occasionally the North region, you'll play a key role in protecting the business by using data-led insights to drive smarter auditing and strengthen internal controls across our operations. You will lead the identification of trends, anomalies, and high-risk areas through detailed analysis, using data to plan and execute targeted audits—either remotely or on-site—focused on minimising fraud, financial loss, and operational risk.
What you'll be doing?
- You’ll be responsible for producing clear, high-impact audit reports that deliver actionable recommendations to Operational leaders.
- Support the Operation by providing targeted training to drive process improvement
- Perform audit related analysis, investigations and related activities as directed by the Lead Operational Auditor and Senior Operational Audit Manager.
- Your insights will directly influence future audit strategies by feeding into our audit data analytics programme, helping shape smarter, more predictive risk assessments.
- You’ll also support investigations and contribute to projects aligned with the Group’s wider vision of financial excellence and operational integrity.
What you'll need
- Detailed knowledge of outlet financial /admin procedures, systems (Micros/Simphony, Opera, WBD)
- Analytical skills – ability to identify core issues and provide assessments grounded in logic
- Full clean UK/EU driving licence
- Extensive travel necessitating overnight stays
