We’re recruiting for a Property Accounting Manager, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager – Property. In this role you’ll manage the financial reporting and control for the Property Accounting team and work with the wider team to develop best in class financial and reporting capability.

What you’ll do
- Accurate and efficient accounting and reporting of Fixed Assets and maintaining accurate records for over £4bn fixed assets and additions of > £500m p.a.
- People management and supporting the team of analysts at EXL to manage accurate and timely processing and reporting of fixed assets and overall property accounting.
- Lead and assist on relevant project/analytical work throughout the year as required, ensure risks and opportunities are flagged as appropriate.
- Lead engagement with Finance Business Partners to facilitate greater visibility, ownership and timely accounting of construction spend, refurbishments, R&M spend and major IT projects
- Consistent delivery of quality Month end reporting, with improvement in reporting & timely resolution of actions and Quality improvement on Balance Sheet recs
- Drive enhancements to CIP and reporting of projects spend
What we need
- Broad accounting knowledge, ability to talk through ideas & assess wider impacts
- Strong working knowledge of optimised Oracle and Microsoft Office, included strong Excel skills
- Ability to manage people and drive process improvements
- Skills – Rounded technical skills; ability to challenge others confidently while maintaining strong professional relationship; Organised and disciplined
- Desirable: Qualified Accountant - recognised accounting qualification with at least one year of PQE
