The Engineering Team focuses on the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of technology platforms, products, and services to ensure our systems are reliable, high performing, and continuously improved to meet evolving business needs.
As a QA Engineer, you'll be part of an Agile Sprint team, working on one of the UK's busiest websites, Premierinn.com. Your role will focus on improving our development process and ensuring that our systems are reliable and high-performing.
Role: QA Engineer
Contract Type: Full-Time and Permanent
Salary From: £55,000pa and up to 15% bonus
Location: Digital Office, Holborn, London and a hybrid way of working with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office.

What you’ll be doing:
- You'll thoughtfully design, execute, and maintain clear test plans and cases to ensure our software meets the highest quality standards.
- You'll conduct functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure our software operates smoothly and meets user expectations.
- Create and implement test automation frameworks using tools like WebDriverIO, Cypress, Playwright, Karate, or Appium to enhance our testing efficiency and software quality.
- You'll seamlessly integrate automated testing into our CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions, ensuring smooth and reliable software delivery as well as manage and maintain test data and testing tools.
- You'll work closely with development teams to ensure that unit testing practices and code quality standards are consistently met, fostering a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality software and support the QA Manager(s) in maintaining the test automation frameworks.
What You’ll Need:
- Good understanding of programming languages and database concepts.
- Experience with automated testing tools like Selenium, webdriver.io, Appium, Cypress, Playwright, JMeter, Postman, Karate and RestAssured.
- Familiarity with CI/CD test automation using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI/CD.
- Hands-on experience in QA assurance activities across various digital applications, microservices and mobile apps. data and analytics and ERP software applications.
- Ability to define test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks to ensure high software quality.
- Good knowledge of testing methodologies such as functional, regression, performance, security, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps testing frameworks as well as experience with test management tools like Zephyr, Test Rail and defect management tools like JIRA
