Senior IT Transformation Manager
About the role:
- Lead the transformation agenda for the IT function, mobilising and facilitating a senior cross-functional group of SMEs to deliver the ‘transformation plan’, covering accountability for:
- Whitbread’s IT Vision
- The function’s Working Principles by working closely with each of the ITLT to create and embed a cohesive and integrated set of working principles
- A comprehensive and robust RACI
- Defined R&Rs across all key roles
- All communications required related to these
- Close mapping to all governance and PMO processes and tools
- Improving efficiency and effectiveness
- Establishing and managing the governance and structure for all IT communications, creating and championing regular communications channels via multiple mediums and ensuring the function has a communications ‘heartbeat’

- Establishment and oversight of the supplier management process ensuring its applied consistently across the division
- Current and future planning for the ‘Transformation’ plan, embedding the ‘People Plan’ within that plan
- Drive the plan for enabling functional aspirations and priorities (i.e., where do we want the function to be in 3 years, and how do we get there)
What you’ll be doing:
- Review, design, and execute on improvements to organisational structure
- Improve and create processes and coordinate organisational procedures for optimised efficiency and productivity
- Manage third-party supplier relationships
- Take responsibility for financial and budget management as well as resourcing for Digital Technology
- Manage financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances and initiating corrective actions
- Acting as the facilitator/conduit to communicate wants, needs, concerns, ideas from staff to the Head of Digital Technology in an effective and efficient way.
- Attending meetings and calls on the behalf of the Head of Digital Technology if they are unavailable
What you’ll need:
- Strong technology and Change Management knowledge and ability to adapt new skills and techniques as they emerge in the fast-moving digital technology sector
- Staff development and coaching – respected by peers, actively participates in training and mentoring
- Experienced in planning and leading strategic initiatives
- Experience delivering change within both programme and operations management
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, assign and manage work activities, meet deadlines and deliver reporting in a timely and effective manner
- Advanced negotiation skills
- Experience with budget management and cost control
