Shape the Future of Sleep
At Premier Inn, we believe that a great night’s sleep can change everything. As the UK’s largest hotel brand with over 800 locations, we’re on a mission to make every stay seamless, comforting, and memorable. Now, we’re looking for a Lead UX Designer to join our dynamic Digital Product team and redefine how millions of guests experience our brand online.
Why This Role Matters
This is more than a design job — it’s a chance to lead the transformation of our digital guest journey. From dreaming about a getaway to checking in with ease, you’ll craft experiences that are intuitive, delightful, and unmistakably Premier Inn.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the vision for UX across our web and mobile platforms, creating experiences that are simple, elegant, and impactful.
- Champion the guest journey — from discovery and booking to check-in and beyond — ensuring every touchpoint reflects our brand’s warmth and reliability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with brand, product, and engineering teams to build and evolve our design systems and visual language.
- Inspire and influence — present your work to stakeholders and senior leadership, guiding strategic decisions with clarity and creativity.
- Solve real problems — dive deep into user insights and data to design solutions that make every interaction feel effortless.
Who You Are
You're a strategic thinker, a passionate designer, and a natural leader. You thrive in fast-paced environments and know how to turn complex challenges into elegant solutions.
Essential Knowledge & Skills
- Deep understanding of eCommerce, digital product development, and agile methodologies.
- Expertise in interaction design, visual/motion design, and user research.
- Mastery of tools like Figma, Miro, and prototyping software.
- Strong communicator — able to translate technical and commercial concepts into compelling design narratives.
- Experience building and scaling design systems in high-traffic digital environments.
Experience You Bring
- Proven track record in senior product design roles with a standout portfolio.
- Experience leading UX strategy and alignment sessions with stakeholders at all levels.
- Significant hands-on experience designing complex interfaces for web and mobile applications.
