Location: Dunstable - we have a fantastic hybrid working environment, you’ll need to be in the office at least 2 days per week but the rest of your week can be flexible to what works best for you and your role.

To own the new site evaluation process in the UK, Ireland and Germany, driving its continuous improvement to ensure investment decisions are taken with sound appraisal and analysis. Execute the Location Strategy through the delivery of site evaluations for all hotel brands ensuring the best sites are approved and weaker sites rejected. Work alongside the Property Teams to deliver annual room growth targets. Provide insight and analysis on new site performance to improve returns, develop more accurate modelling and support strategic decision making.

What you will be doing:

  • Own commercial projections for UK expansionary investments
  • Deliver and have accountability for occupancy and selling price projections for new sites, going concerns, hub by Premier Inn, Zip & new concepts
  • Manage and develop the process of commercial projections to enable timely delivery and informed investment decisions
  • Manage the preparation of property papers for sign off at exec and board meetings
  • Ensure investment proposals are presented in the context of the Location Strategy
  • Be able to articulate clearly site specific demand drivers
  • Own commercial projections for Germany expansionary investments
  • Deliver and have accountability for occupancy and selling price projections for new sites & going concerns
  • Manage and develop the process of commercial projections to enable timely delivery and informed investment decisions
  • Manage the preparation of property papers for sign off at exec and board meetings
  • Ensure investment proposals are presented in the context of the Location Strategy
  • Be able to articulate clearly site specific demand drivers
  • Deliver continual development of data models supporting site appraisals for UK & Germany
  • Create new data processes that ensure the latest data and insight available across WHR is incorporated into commercial projections for hotel expansion
  • Drive development of new data capabilities across WHR to inform further location planning  data models
  • Manage the maintenance of data models within the location planning team to ensure all investment decisions are robust
  • Lead projects that relate to delivery against our location strategy for WHR
  • Cross functional projects
  • Drive the agenda for WHR-wide strategic initiatives and align to perfect portfolio strategy
  • Optimisation of our existing assets
  • Identify key analytical questions in advance of ad hoc requests from exec and management board
  • Create thought-leadership within the Location Planning & Analysis team. Coach team to:
  • Identify site specific demand drivers
  • Use latest trading and demand metrics to inform site appraisals and location strategy
  • Identify new opportunities for new targets and new concepts through market analysis
  • Develop location planning data models further
  • Work closely with Property teams to unlock sites and grow pipeline
  • Consult cross-functionally
  • Undertake regular market visits to understand the hotel operations, pipeline sites, our competitors and individual markets dynamics
  • Review quality and performance of new site openings
  • Oversee Post Completion Review
  • Shape and frame site-specific analysis
  • Appraise non-financial performance
  • Identify further analysis to improve evaluation process and models
