Role: Procurement Manager R&M
Function: Procurement & Supply Chain
Location: Dunstable- we have a fantastic hybrid working environment, you’ll need to be in the office at least 2 days per week but the rest of your week can be flexible to what works best for you and your role.
Type of role: Permanent
Responsible for the development of, and application of, best practice procurement for agreed R&M sub-categories including provision of market insight, development of category strategies & associated sourcing plans, tendering, negotiation and supplier management.
What you will be doing:
- Procurement Strategy- Development, implementation & maintenance of optimal sourcing strategies for all key spend areas across the portfolio.
- Tender & Negotiation- Tender management, negotiation and implementation of supplier agreements.
- Supplier Management- Development & implementation of appropriate supplier management activities for all key suppliers across the portfolio.
- Relationship Management- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and senior Executives as appropriate.
- HSSE, Diversity & CSR- Embed HSSE, diversity and CSR strategies throughout the category team’s activities
Why we’d love you to apply:
- 2-3 years relevant procurement experience
- Educated to degree level
- Highly credible in front of senior stakeholders and the management of key suppliers
- Understanding of the R&M sector and associated procurement best practice
- Conversant with a range of R&M sourcing strategies
- Conversant with forms of contract prevalent in the R&M sector
- Procurement execution (business requirements analysis, market analysis, sourcing strategy, tender, negotiation, contract award, supplier management etc.)
- Relationship Management – Able to build value-adding relationships with internal customers
- Influencing – Able to communicate & influence effectively at senior levels
