Role: Business Analyst
Function: FP&A
Location: Dunstable- we have a fantastic hybrid working environment, you’ll need to be in the office at least 2 days per week but the rest of your week can be flexible to what works best for you and your role.

Reporting directly to the FP&A Manager, the Business Analyst role will involve Business Planning for Germany and the UK including understanding the 5 Year Plan, translating this into the budget and forecast and support on wider reporting. This role will require someone with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build strong networks with Finance teams and teams across the organisation.
What you will be doing:
- Work with relevant finance teams to understand and articulate the assumptions and business drivers included in budgets, forecasts and business plans.
- Review the financial outputs to be presented and update to accommodate current trends or KPIs – to support our reporting agenda
- Identify and model scenarios to test the plan's robustness, with dynamic outputs and sensitivities built in as standard.
- Improve planning process through robust variance analysis/ analytical review, by drilling into and challenging the outputs so that they are clearly understood, documented and communicated upwards.
- Review current Excel spreadsheet models, look for efficiencies and potential developments to enhance business understanding and reporting.
- Link into current systems across the business and utilise the planning tools.
- Work with FP&A Manager and wider team to provide timely and insightful reporting to FD, CFO and Exec/Board
- Organise the data securely and ensure that it is signed off by the relevant Finance teams in line with the financial control framework.

- Experience in a financial or analytical role.
- Basic knowledge of financial reporting and analysis.

- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Financial modelling and data management
- Good system & Excel skills
- Good analytical skills
- Previous experience working in a finance function.
- Experience working in a high-pressured environment, meeting deadlines consistently whilst maintaining accuracy.
- Ownership and responsible for delivering on targets
