Location: Dunstable, Bedfordshire (Hybrid working – 2 office days a week)

Accountable managing an agreed portfolio of Corporate Services (total spend approx £25m) including the selection, appointment and management of key suppliers. The portfolio may include a variety of indirect categories, for example HR & Reward Services

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for the application of best practice procurement for Corporate Services categories, including provision of market insight, development of category strategies and associated sourcing plans, tendering, negotiation and supplier management.  Supporting the delivery of the Brand and Product strategy to support future growth. 
  • Input to the identification of key suppliers across the category and establishment of appropriate supplier management activities to oversee supplier performance against SLA / KPI’s and provide a forum for ongoing supplier development and improvement.
  • Tender evaluation including commercial analysis, product/service evaluation, vendor capability evaluation
  • Ensure application of, and compliance to the Brand’s Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE), Diversity and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategies & policies during R&M sourcing activities.
  • Determine appropriate approach to market (single-stage RFP, two-stage RFI / RFP, eAuction etc.)
  • Negotiation to maximise savings and/or optimise price / quality / service / risk.
  • Present contract award recommendations to key stakeholders and Senior Executives as required.
  • Continuous maintenance and update of market insight regarding category, best-practices, trends, key suppliers etc.
  • Develop strong personal relationships with appropriate stakeholders across the business.
  • Development of documented (3 year) sourcing strategies for agreed sub-category in collaboration with senior stakeholders.

What we are looking for: 

  • Procurement execution (business requirements analysis, market analysis, sourcing strategy, tender, negotiation, contract award, supplier management etc)
  • Understanding of Corporate Services/Indirect procurement categories and associated procurement best practice
  • Conversant with a range of sourcing strategies
  • CIPS qualified (beneficial although not essential)
  • A good communicator with the ability to influence effectively at a senior levels
  • Strong Relationship management, able to build value adding relationships with internal customers
