Role: Ecommerce Product Owner
Function: Ecommerce
Location: Holborn– hybrid working with x2 office days each week
Grade: B16
Employment Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
This exciting new role will shape, manage and own key changes within our digital products from end to end, whilst continually ensuring clear communication with all relevant stakeholders. You’ll be driving a cycle of continuous improvement by measuring, testing, and holding retrospectives on all projects. Changes will range from working with our Technology and Design teams on a new customer experience to working with our Trading and Marketing teams on an upcoming campaign.
What you will be doing
You’ll be able to create and clearly communicate relevant requirements, enabling the Ecommerce teams, marketing teams and IT teams to understand the end goal and be able to provide solutions and plans to support achieving it.
In order to drive improvements in the platform, it’ll be important to proactively use analytics to both identify opportunities, size impact/benefit and measure end performance.
Input into the product backlogs with actionable opportunities and developments that are prioritised on business outcomes. When necessary, create and collate business requirements to enable Technology teams to efficiently deliver solutions.
Optimise performance of the platform through personalisation and A/B testing. Safely launch new features.
Increase acquisition of customers and bookings through programmes of targeted landing page improvements.
Maintain a good awareness of regulatory changes, including GDPR, and ensure Premier Inn are taking appropriate actions.
Bring fresh insight and ideas to further evolve Premier Inn’s digital experience, collaborating closely with the product team.
Work across the Ecommerce team and with other departments to define and continually improve Ecommerce processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy in activity.
Take responsibility for specific changes throughout full lifecycle from design through to analysis post go live and retrospective. Ensure Ecommerce and Marketing teams are understanding their actions and the plan is clearly communicated.
Act as SME for a change or release and carry out UAT to ensure desired outcome has been achieved before launching.
Why we’d love you to apply
An experienced Ecommerce Product Owner with a broad digital knowledge base, ideally in retail/travel.
Highly numerate with the ability to quickly draw conclusions from data and translate for stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to influence.
Demonstrable ability to translate strategies and goals into detailed plans and requirements for technology teams.
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Strong appreciation for design and usability, with an instinct for what will work in an Ecommerce environment.
Proven ability of successfully managing and delivering projects (end to end) within a commercial environment - with a clear understanding of product development lifecycle.
Experience bringing products or features to market.
Used to working with Adobe or Google analytics.
Good understanding of content management systems.
