The Senior Research Executive is crucial input into the delivery of customer insight across the Premier Inn brands. As well as leading and managing our online research community, this role will also support in delivering other research projects and market & competitor insights, increasingly taking more of a leading role on these.
What you will be doing:
Lead contact with agency partner and day-to-day management of the online community
Support on the strategy of the community, and it’s evolution
Lead on the research process, outputs and actioning of all community projects
Define research brief and invite roster agencies to submit proposals
Work through end-to-end project with selected agency partner
Manage stakeholders throughout, from inception to debrief and actioning insights
Examples of such projects may include, refreshing the hotel market segmentation, customer journey work, deep-diving into B2B needs – expected that this role would lead on more tactical projects and support on more complex with a view to increase their lead role overtime
Familiarise self with existing market & competitor reporting
Take time to develop business understanding and awareness of available sources
Lead the curation and delivery of reporting – this may include commissioning new sources e.g. trends
Work alongside Insight Team to grasp an understanding of insights delivered to date and ongoing deliverables
Seek opportunities for alignment across data and insight sources
Elevate existing communications programme.
Work closely with Customer Marketing teams to understand priorities and gaps in knowledge
Use insight knowledge to support writing the annual strategy for the team
Embed insight into the marketing planning process
Support in managing the day-to-day planning process
Why we’d love you to apply:
Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods
Strong academic background
At least 2 years’ experience of managing qualitative and quantitative research projects – experience of working either agency-side or client-side in an insight role
Previous experience of managing stakeholder requirements, planning workloads and generating/sharing insights
Ad hoc research project experience (not purely working on ongoing trackers)
Understanding of how research projects are set up and managed
Strong written and verbal communicator
Comfortable using Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Excellent organisational skills
Solid problem solving, analysis and story-telling skills
Able to translate complex stakeholder requirements into succinct research objectives
Experience of working collaboratively in teams and developing strong relationships with stakeholders
Ability to effectively challenge and influence others opinions
