There are circa 850 Premier Inn sites throughout the UK that need financial support and direction. Taking a leading role in the Operations finance team, this role will involve business partnering with 3 x Operations Directors.
You will Manage, coach and development of 1 direct report. The role will lead the site level P&L budgeting for circa 850 sites and take financial ownership for reporting accuracy and management insight across all of these sites.
Location: Dunstable, hybrid- a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

What you’ll do:
- Leading the site level P&L budgeting for c850 sites
- Financial ownership for reporting accuracy and management insight across all Ops P&L lines (with exception of Labour), including Laundry, Consumables, Utilities, and Other Direct Controllables
- Cross functional ownership and facilitation for the PI&R Operation Wincard, including measure development, target setting, and reporting.
- Insight and challenge on underlying drivers of region and site level performance including clear actions and measurement on the success of delivery.
- Financial analysis over key operational change initiatives as part of the 5 year target operating model strategy
- Facilitation and financial leadership of development and deployment of non-labour Everyday Efficiency initiatives across Operations.
- Tracking, analysis and insight on efficiency initiatives and other trials across the PI&R estate
- Lead the provision of information and insight into the monthly financial reviews process with the Operation Directors
- Leading financial support on operational and strategic projects including evaluation and PCR
- Working with the Head of Operations Finance to develop the business partnering vision and framework, including embedding this into team ways of working
- Working closely with Ops Business Partners to understand and agree deployment of analysts to support other areas of the team as necessary
- Leadership of day to day activities across non-labour side of Ops Finance team, including Business Partners and Data Centre of Excellence
- Deputise for the Head of Operations Finance where required
What we need:
- Qualified accountant with minimum 5 yrs PQE experience
- Commercial Acumen – understanding of operational business drivers and ability to identify trends to inform future strategy.
- Strong understanding of financial planning and management techniques
- Strong level of thought leadership to develop the business partnering strategy and identify commercial opportunities
- Proven track record of influencing and challenging at a senior/director level
- Analytical skills – ability to identify core issues and provide assessments grounded in compelling logic
