We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior IT Procurement Manager to join our Procurement Function, based here at Support Centre in Dunstable. You will be accountable for the sourcing of a variety of IT services across Whitbread, you will also be responsible for management and selection of key suppliers across IT and Technology.

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for the implementation of procurement best practices across the breadth & depth of the categories by providing market insight, development of category strategies & associated sourcing plans, tendering, negotiation and supplier management
  • Development of documented sourcing strategies (3 years) for the relevant categories in collaboration with Senior Stakeholders 
  • Maintenance of a rolling 12-month sourcing plan for IT
  • Proactively manage team members ensuring that individuals work, plans and priorities are aligned at all time with the overall objectives and priorities of the department 
  • Identify key IT suppliers across and establish appropriate supplier management activities to oversee supplier’s performance against SLA’s and KPI’s 
  • Negotiate with multiple suppliers to maximise on saving, price, quality and service 
  • Present contract recommendations to key stakeholders and senior executives when required 
  • Collaborate with the legal team to ensure development and implementation of robust contracts with all key suppliers  
  • Build relationships with the wider business, including Finance, HR and Legal.
  • Maintain a broad understanding of the commercial IT environment, how the organisation sources, deploys and manages external partners and when it is appropriate to use in-house resources.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to key stakeholders and the wider business


What we are looking for

  • Strong Procurement experience and knowledge managing IT services categories
  • Experienced in a broad range of sourcing strategies to underpin the IT category
  • Previous experience of strategy development and implementation
  • CIPS qualified (beneficial although not essential)
  • Outstanding communication and able to influence at a senior level
  • Strong Relationship management both with internal customers, stakeholders & suppliers
  • Procurement execution including business requirements and market analysis, tender negotiation and contract award 
  • Managerial or leadership experience highly beneficial
