“It was only two months ago that I left my role as an Apprentice Store Manager in a supermarket chain to join Whitbread. The whole application, interview and trial experience was quick and efficient, which made the move that much easier.
"From the start of my training, I knew I was going to be well looked after.
"Whitbread found the right location for me to shadow some of the best management in the business and I spent time in the company’s training academy to fully understand the detail of kitchen management.
"What impressed me was that they had really thought about everything – from the small details of travel through to adaptable training to fit my learning style.
"Throughout the 4 weeks of my induction each manager and team member I came across welcomed and supported me, while allowing me the freedom to fully be myself.
"I had thought arriving at my new site would be daunting, but I have had a fantastic start with the full support of the team.
