Whitbread has landed one of its biggest technology transformation projects in its history with our new booking and reservations system – Opera, and handles nearly £2billion worth of transactions per year with a staggering 151 million visits to our website. Our Digital Platform Team play a critical role looking after the health and performance of our Whitbread digital platform and its effect on both our customers and business.
As the Digital Performance Analyst, working in Tech Ops, you will play an important role by providing insightful analysis by using Observability tools (ongoing training will be provided), into the heartbeat and performance of Whitbread’s digital estate and a crucial part to the ongoing development and health of digital platforms.
You’ll be able to develop your stakeholder management experience as you’ll be working closely with our internal stakeholders and external providers and using your monitoring experience and knowledge, you will be providing reports and advise on the performance of the underlying Whitbread platforms, and its impact on both customers and operations.
Role: Digital Performance Analyst
Salary: £37,000pa - £41,000pa, plus up to 10% company performance-based bonus
Contract Type: Full-Time and Permanent
Location: Holborn, London (EC1N 2TD) and a hybrid way of working with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office.

What you’ll be doing:
- Create, refine, implement, document and maintain monitoring policies and processes for successful monitoring of software and infrastructure.
- Identify themes of recurring issues and work with Engineering and Tech Ops to propose plans to remedy.
- Use analysis of monitoring data to identify potential improvement, features and enhancement opportunities for the Digital Platforms.
- Full coverage of monitoring across the Whitbread digital estate
- Up-to-date backlog tickets for potential and current production issues across Whitbread’s digital estate
- Be involved in major incidents – supporting with real time data and supporting major incident managers
What you’ll need:
- Strong knowledge of digital platform reporting practices and analytical tools
- Ecommerce/IT environment and exposure to platform or maintenance of platforms
- Robust understanding of application monitoring and performance tuning for Digital applications
- Passion for all things digital
