The role:-

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to take on a senior position reporting in to our Head of FP&A providing analytical and technical support as a FP&A Manager for 12+ months

We’re looking for a hands-on accountant with strong leadership skills to manage the delivery of a consolidated view of our business-wide financial plans from an internal and external view point. Influencing decision-making and ensuring the Board are adequately prepared for external questions.

What you will be doing:-

We’ll expect you to be the financial lead on the external results announcements and supporting material for our FTSE 100 business; providing analytical support and developing the mechanism that explains the business’ results to an external audience whilst effectively business partnering with our Investor Relations team.

A strong people-person, you’ll have the opportunity to build strong networks with both our diverse and complex finance function, and the wider teams across our organisation. You’ll be trusted to provide excellent business insight whilst effectively challenging the status-quo.

Collaborating with our Financial Directors, you will have the opportunity to manage the consolidation of our business plan, budget and forecasts for ExCo and our PLC Board.

Hands-on in your approach, you’ll need to effectively pick up and develop the modelling of the Group including potential changes – enhancing current models and re-designing as appropriate.

Line management is also part of this key role; developing the objectives and career development of 2 Analysts

A qualified Accountant with excellent financial reporting and analytical knowledge from a commercial Plc combined with significant modelling expertise for senior leadership teams and external view is essential

Exceptional business partnering skills developed from collaborating cross-functionally and up to Director level combined with polished influencing and negotiation skills will allow you to make this role your own

Previous exposure to a fast-paced and deadline driven way of working will ensure you can maintain accuracy whilst successfully delivering against targets

Line management experience would be highly advantageous to ensure you can continue to support your 2 Direct reports and nurture their personal development
